Questions, bugs, or an idea for the app? Write to us:
support@courasports.comCoura is made by a very small team, so replies are by hand — usually within a few days.
You can also reach the same inbox from inside the app: Settings → Send Feedback or Settings → Report an Issue. Those open a pre-addressed email for you.
What to include in your message
The more of this you can tell us, the faster we can help:
- Your device and OS version — for example "iPhone 15, iOS 18.2" or "Pixel 8, Android 15".
- Whether a watch was involved, and which one.
- The app version, from Settings → Version at the bottom of the settings screen.
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
- A screenshot, if the problem is something you can see.
Common questions
A match I scored on my watch didn't show up on my phone
Matches move from the watch to the phone over the direct connection between the two devices, so both need to be able to reach each other:
- Check the watch and the phone are paired and connected — with each other, not just to Wi-Fi.
- Open Coura on the phone and leave it on screen for a moment; delivery finishes when the phone app is awake.
- If it still hasn't landed, open Coura on the watch too. The watch resends anything still waiting.
Nothing is lost while it waits — the match stays on the watch until the phone confirms it.
My heart rate is missing from a match
Heart rate comes from Apple Health, which means two things have to be true:
- The match was scored on the Apple Watch while you were wearing it. Matches entered by hand on the phone have no heart-rate recording behind them.
- Coura has permission to read heart rate. Check iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Coura and turn on the heart-rate categories.
After granting permission, open the match again — the chart fills in once Health hands the data over.
How do I move my history to a new phone?
On iPhone, if Settings → Data → iCloud Sync is on, your history and setup restore by themselves: sign in to the same Apple ID on the new phone, install Coura, open it, and give it a moment to pull everything down.
On any device, you can carry your data across by hand: Settings → Export Data on the old phone, save the file somewhere you can reach, then Settings → Import Data on the new one. This also works between iPhone and Android in either direction.
Importing only ever adds — a match you already have is never overwritten or duplicated, so it is safe to import the same file twice.
Is my data backed up?
On iPhone, yes, if iCloud Sync is on — to your own private iCloud, which only you can reach. On Android there is no cloud sync yet, so the export file is your backup. Either way, Settings → Export Data gives you a copy you keep yourself.
How do I change the language?
Coura is in English and Spanish. Switch it in Settings → Language; the phone passes your choice to the watch. The Apple Health permission prompts are drawn by the system rather than by Coura, so those follow your device language instead.
How do I delete my data?
Delete a single match from your history, or clear everything at once with Settings → Clear All Data…. Deleting the app removes what is stored on the device. To remove the iCloud copy as well, turn off iCloud Sync in the app and then delete Coura's data in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
What do you do with my data?
Nothing — it never reaches us. There is no account and no server behind Coura: your matches stay on your device and, on Apple devices, in your own private iCloud. The privacy policy spells it out in full.
Requests and bug reports
Feature ideas are genuinely welcome — a good share of what's in the app started as a message from someone using it. Send yours to support@courasports.com and tell us what you were trying to do; that's usually more useful than a description of the feature itself.
